Metropolitan Parking Services, LLC (MPS) originated as Renaissance Center Parking in 1978. Since then we have grown to provide a wide range of professional parking services at nearly a dozen locations in and around the Renaissance Center in Downtown Detroit. Recently we have extended our parking services to clients throughout Metropolitan Detroit and beyond.

MPS employs nearly 250 people. Our executive staff has a total of more than 50 years of experience in parking and building management services.

Executive Profile

Pete Brewis, President of Metropolitan Parking Services, LLC, was born in Dearborn, Michigan in 1964. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and is a member of the National Parking Association and the Michigan Parking Association.

Mr. Brewis has been involved in the parking business since 1994 when he joined the Renaissance Center in Detroit as an Assistant Operations Manager. At that time, the facility’s parking department consisted of approximately 60 employees managing 3,000 parking spaces. Since the purchase of the Renaissance Center by General Motors in 1997, the company has expanded to approximately 240 employees managing over 12,000 parking spaces. During this expansion, Pete has held several positions leading to his current role as President.

Pete has been an integral part of the design and construction of several parking garages along with the growth of the company’s valet parking operations. He oversees all operational and financial activities for the company. Pete and his two sons currently reside in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
