Position Requirements
The individual assigned to this position must:
- Be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
- Be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Be able to walk short distances
- Be able to read and record time
- Be able to function for extended periods in all environmental conditions
- Possess the manual dexterity to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Minimally possess a valid Michigan Operator's License

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The individual in this position will be responsible for:
- Customer Service: Make customer service, care and satisfaction the priority in every interaction. Determine a customer’s desired location and assure they are in the correct place.
- Customer Arrival: Determine the customer’s name and record it on the valet ticket. Give proper instructions to the customer on how and where to retrieve their vehicle. Issue the customer the valet ticket claim check. Examine the condition of the vehicle and document any damage, malfunction, or valuables.
- Vehicle Staging: Queue vehicles in the staging area to accommodate incoming traffic, while maintaining a safe drop-off point. Coordinate with shuttle drivers and direct valet attendants to accommodate the volume of customer traffic.
- Customer Departure: Interact with customers and staff to ensure no customer experiences an inordinate wait time for the retrieval of their vehicle.
- Hotel Porte Operations: Understand and facilitate processes and procedures specific to the operation at the hotel valet.
- Valet Process: Understand the valet process, and assist with customer vehicle retrieval and delivery.

Other Assigned Duties
- Assist with operations as directed by the Shift or Lead Shift Managers.
- Any other duties specifically assigned by any management personnel.
- Assure safety and well-being of all employees, customers, and co-workers.
- Report all incidents in accordance with company policies.
